APPLE COBBLER WITH VANILLA SAUCE


I am still trying to determine what this thing that is yummy is. Unsure whether it is possibly a cookie, a dish or a cake cutter. I wound up phoning since I guessed that was the nearest thing to it, it cobbler. It's friggin excellent. So great that it has become a staple in our home. And it is so simple to make. You are going to be surprised. The one thing that's a bit of effort is currently cutting off the apples. However, no need to peel the apples, if you don't need to, naturally. Imagine how easy it'll be to create it! Be certain that you serve it with ice cream or sauce.




This recipe would also be yummy with berries, peaches, plums or pears!

INGREDIENTS

APPLE COBBLER

  1. 2 tsp. Baking powder
  2. Pinch of salt
  3. 150 gram (roughly 1 1/4 stick) softened butter
  4. 135 gram (2/3 cup) sugar
  5. 1 large egg
  6. 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  7. Zest from 1/2 lemon or orange
  8. 1 tablespoon. Orange or lemon juice

VANILLA SAUCE

  1. 1/2 vanilla bean
  2. 3 egg yolks
  3. 3 tablespoons. granulated sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

APPLE COBBLER

  1. Beat sugar and the butter until smooth, about 1 minute.
  2. Slice the apples and put into a medium bowl. Insert cinnamon, orange/lemon zest and juice into the bowl and then stir.
  3. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the edges have a fine brown colour. Let cool before serving with ice cream or vanilla custard.

VANILLA SAUCE

  1. Pour cream and milk into a saucepan. Scrape the seeds and add bean and seeds .
  2. Prepare a bowl. Set together with the strainer within an ice bath if you would like to accelerate the procedure. Keep this close by throughout the upcoming actions.
  3. In a medium bowlwhisk together sugar and yolks until mixture lightens slightly. Gradually pour half of the milk mixture over the yolks while stirring. Pour everything back in the pan with the remaining portion of the milk mix. Set over moderate and heat until mixture thickens while stirring.
  4. After the sauce has thickened, pour through the strainer down to the bowl.
