CREAM CHEESE BUTTERCREAM FROSTING {GREAT FOR DECORATING}

A thousand times through the years, I have been asked to get a fantastic Crusting Cream Cheese Buttercream Frosting Recipe that will work nicely for decorating. That is it! This really is the cream cheese buttercream if you are a cake !

I have been using this recipe because the very start of my cake decorating company way back in 2010 and it has never failed me. For piping this frosting holds up. And it is delicious!

DESCRIPTION

This cream cheese frosting is ideal for decorating. It creates a crust that is wonderful and retains it's shape!

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 cup grated butter (=two sticks), at room temperature
  2. 1/2 cup Crisco* shortening (just under 4 ounces.
  3. 8 ounces.
  4. 3 pounds powdered sugar
  5. 1 Tablespoon of vanilla extract
  6. 2-4Tablespoons of milk (add to Acquire consistency to spread or pipe )

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. First, cream the butter and Crisco in a mixing bowl. Mix for a few minutes until creamy and smooth. Add the cream and vanilla cheese until smooth, and blend. Add the sugar before it is all blended. It'll be stiff! Then start adding milk until you get to the desired consistency for decorating (2-3 tbsp works nicely for me)
  2. *I'm generally satisfied with generic components, but I have discovered that Crisco shortening includes a better feel and looks to create smoother, yummier icing than once I create it using generic...only my view, if anybody is interested =-RRB-
  3. This recipe produces about 4 1/2 cups of frosting (~4 pounds when considered ). Yes, it is sweet. Yes, it is a good deal of sugar. However, I've created!
